Description and advantages
The steamer consists of a lid and two nesting trays.
The bottom of the upper and lower trays has sets of holes.
The steamer is placed in a pot of boiling water, allowing steam to pass through the tray holes. This allows food to be steamed.
The domed lid allows condensation to drain down the sides without dripping onto the food.
The bottom ridge on the tray determines the optimal water level. Underfilling can cause the water to boil away prematurely, while overfilling will result in soggy food.
The bottom of the steamer inserts is wavy to prevent food from sticking together.
No electricity is used for cooking, making it suitable for camping.
The absence of lengthy cooking preserves vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. Application
Cook rice and salmon steaks, or potatoes with vegetables and steamed cutlets in the steamer at the same time.
Steamed omelets and puddings turn out very tender – a great option for baby food and diet food.
Cook rice, pasta, and lentils until done.
Homemade manti and khinkali are incredibly delicious.
Instructions for use
Choose a pot of sufficient size and the correct diameter so that the steamer fits evenly on the bottom.
Fill the pot with water and place the steamer inside. The water level should not exceed the mark on the bottom of the tray.
Bring the water to a boil. The water evaporates, creating hot steam through the holes in the steamer trays.
Place the upper and lower trays together and cover with the lid.
Monitor the water level during cooking.
Use and care
Dishwasher safe.
Be sure to monitor the water level in the pot. Never leave the steamer in a saucepan without water while cooking, as this may cause the steamer to melt.
Use appropriate safety precautions, such as wearing oven mitts when handling a hot steamer.
